With the purchase of Exhall Grinding, our already extensive Grinding section will amalgamate to become Arrowsmith Grinding in November 2009.
We are pleased to offer the extended services of Honing, Surface, Internal, External and Centreless grinding.- Surface grinding: max surface area of 450 mm x 250 mm
- Range of NDT, CMM, thread and hydraulic pressure testing and data matrix parts marking services
- Centreless grinding: from 1.5mm to 150 mm diameter
- External grinding: from 1.5 mm to 250 mm diameter and up to 1000 mm long
- Internal grinding: up to 450 mm diameter
- Automatic honing, including match grinding
- ‘Tub’ disc grinding: up to 450 mm diameter

SC21 Update
BOS/QOS visual reporting is now in use covering OTIF, Internal Quality, External Quality and Supplier Performance. Total Productive Maintenance is in place on all CNC machines and we have completed four 5s projects this year.
Jobshop MRP, Visual Fairs and 3D Cad Cam upgrades are now bedding in and we are in a period of consolidation ensuring all these introductions run smoothly over the next 12 months. TEC consultants and MAS continue to assist.
Our Manufacturing Excellence score has risen from 180 to 316 and our OTIF has risen by 20%.

2 New Grinders
We have purchased two extra machines to increase the capacity and capabilities in our expanding Grinding Section. A Jones and Shipman 1311 Universal Grinder and a Paragon RC1812 Centreless Grinder have recently been added to the section increasing capacity in the work areas of – Internal, External, Centreless and Surface grinding.

Our new thread test validation laboratory is now ready and functioning, testing both our own components and also available as a service to our customers.
